CTA Votes Fund is a North Carolina political action committee registered with the NC State Board of Elections. We are dedicated to endorsing candidates who we believe will prioritize protecting public education from political and social agendas. Our focus is NC schoolboard elections but we include other select offices.
DID YOU KNOW: Our competitor is NCAE PAC Fund. Their balance was over $230,000 as of March 2024. Also, the NCAE annual revenue was recently $9 million, with NCAE officer salaries topping $700,000! We’ve all seen the poison red apples at the polls with lists of left wing candidates.

We’ve all seen the NCAE handing out their red apple cards endorsing exclusively Democrat candidates at the polls in North Carolina.
NCAE has a political action committee (PAC).
As of early 2024, the NCAE’s PAC fund balance was over $238,000!
NCAE pays individuals to canvas neighborhoods.
NCAE donates to candidates.
NCAE collects PAC funds via NC payroll deductions from teachers.
At CTA Votes, our goal is to counter the NCAE red apple cards.
Competing with the NCAE on this scale takes big money. Printed materials for the polls are expensive.
In 2022, we created and printed 20,000 endorsement cards for the Wake Co School Board races. The cost was $2,000 for the paper cards.
Our 20,000 cards were handed out at select polling sites across the county from early voting days through election day.
There are over 100 counties in NC. We were only able to get cards to one county (Wake).
Two of our endorsed schoolboard candidates were elected in Wake.
Now in 2024, we are working hard researching schoolboard candidates across NC, and creating digital endorsements. To truly make an impact in North Carolina at the polls, we’ve set our 2024 fundraising goal at $200,000. (REMEMBER: NCAE PAC balance was $238,000+ recently).
Printed material from an organization like CTA Votes makes a difference at the polling sites.
Many voters simply vote for who is on the NCAE red apple card because they think that is supportive of teachers.
Our basic annual operating expenses to generate digital endorsements is $500, which covers basic costs of website domain, hosting, PO Box rental, and postage to file required State Board of Elections reports.
